East Coast continued their late season resurgence to beat Thames Valley 43-13 in their Lochore Cup match in Thames today.
East Coast scored seven tries to one, a week after securing their first victory of the season, against Horowhenua-Kapiti.
They were far too good for Thames Valley today but the result was not enough to push East Coast into next weekend's semifinals.
Thames Valley entered today's match six points clear of East Coast and already assured of a playoffs berth.
Thames Valley were missing a number of regular players today due to unavailability and but still led 6-5 at halftime.
After that East Coast assumed total control, cutting loose after the interval to end their season on a high.
