Heartland XV team to play New Zealand Marist

Wanganui flanker Peter Rowe has been named as captain in what is his fourth Heartland XV team selection.

Lennox said the team had settled into camp in Wanganui and were looking forward to starting their tour.

“We have had a couple of days to come together and have begun to gel as a team.

“New Zealand Marist have named a strong side and this will be a tough first match-up but I am confident we will go out there and be very competitive,” he added.

The Heartland XV will play matches against New Zealand Marist in Wanganui on Saturday 6 November, New Zealand Defence Force XV in Levin on Wednesday 10 November, and Parramatta Rugby Club XV in Sydney on Saturday 13 November.
